Spray in chocolate/blue is among Emma Gardner's pop art interpretations of two of her popular designs.
Emma Gardner Design, LLC, makers of fine contemporary rugs, has unveiled a custom collection of  “pop art” interpretations of two of its most popular rugs.  The collection features new combinations of bold, bright color, including Peony in apple/hemlock and hemlock/orange and Spray in chocolate/blue and eggplant/pepper.  Designed to showcase the versatility that customization provides for both residential and commercial spaces, the collection is currently on display at Woven Accents in Los Angeles; the showroom commissioned the collection.

Both rugs are hand-knotted of Chinese silk and Tibetan wool, and have 100 knots per square inch and a 5mm or 5/5.5mm pile.  They both are available in standard and custom sizes, as well as in standard colorways: Peony in fiery orange/pink and Spray in sea blue/gold.

“It is very gratifying to work collaboratively with designers and clients to give new and very individual life to the rugs,” said Emma Gardner, principal of the company, based in Litchfield, Conn. “I like customizing something that had been my sole design so that it becomes a piece uniquely suited to the needs and tastes of the consumer, be it in a residence or hospitality project.”
